“Loose, LOUD &
Crazy,” the latest offering from Kevin Fowler, is a well-balanced
mix of beer drinkin, rebel rousin anthems and sweet love songs &
ballads. The title track “Loose LOUD & Crazy” will soon be a standard concert opening song, an invention to let your hair down kick up your heels and let the party start! It pretty much sums up a typical Kevin Fowler concert. This beer drinkin, boot scootin, blue collar, TGIF, workin man anthem is sure to make you forget about working and focus on fun! “Get Along” is a
light hearted, redneck divorce anthem, (have
a beer, the bitch or bastard is gone!) Bobby Flores’ fiddling on
this is hot, and it draws you in! “Hard Man to Love”
is a heartfelt thank you to someone special for putting up with so much,
or a cryin in your beer tune if you aint got nobody.
This song definitely shows that Kevin Fowler can write a pretty
love song. Tommy Detamore’s steel guitar puts just the right tug on
your heartstrings to make you look deep into your love’s eyes. “Aint Drinkin Anymore”
is a true Beer Bytch Anthem, and a standard party tune, perhaps the
“Beer Bait And Ammo” for this album. “Political
Incorrectness” is the
anthem of every good ole boy (and girl), whether they admit it or not.
Anybody who’s used a rebel flag as window curtains, or had the
neighbors come over (with or without code enforcement) to ask when are you
gonna get that truck off the blocks, the refrigerator from out front of
the garage and the grass cut, then this song is about you. “A Mater of When” is another sweet, slow dancing, hold your love tight song, reminding you to appreciate them while you can, because things can change. “Triple Crown" is reminiscent of George Jones “the winner loses all” It’s a rip roarin good Cajun spiced tune about love and loss, and getting a good buzz.. the important things in life. “Half” is the second
“half” of “Get Along”
which means you may enjoy it in the beginning, but men, treat her right or
you’ll wind up with half or less of all you own. “I’ll Try Anything Twice”
is another sweet ballad of taking second chances and to hell with the
outcome. Last but not least, the song
“Don’t Touch My Willie” is
sure to become a concert standard of dirty minds everywhere.
I’l let you wonder about the title… Quoting Cooder Graw, “If You Don’t Have Fun, it’s your own damn fault!” That sums up the CD in its in entirety, it’s pure listening enjoyment and a party waiting to happen.
